Are you aspiring to be a marketer? In today’s world, everyone wants to be a marketer. But nobody knows marketing much. Everyone is evaluating marketing and sales as single concepts. But in truth, both are extremely different. I’m going to share the different concepts of marketing, the difference between sales and marketing, and some other interesting related topics.

Marketing is profitably using the results of studying short term and long term needs of those who can pay for a one-time, or in most cases, a steady flow of service or product placement. We often get confused between sales and marketing. The term sales refer to all activities that lead to the selling of goods and services. And marketing is the process of getting people interested in goods and services. The sale is a term used to describe the activities that lead to the selling of goods or services.

Marketing starts before creating a product. The primary aim of marketing is to create mass trust in people’s minds. Only then they would buy our product.

“The aim of marketing is to know and understand the customer so well the product or service fits him and sells itself. The aim of marketing is to make selling superfluous” Peter Drucker

THE FOUR P’S OF MARKETING

  • Product: What are you selling? A shiny new business widget? A hand-crafted luxury item? Chicken tacos? Whatever it is, you’ll need to think about how to package or present it. Marketers should be familiar with all the features and specifications of the products they sell.
  • Price: To determine how much your product should cost, you’ll need to do some research. Learn how your competitors price their offerings and understand how much consumers are willing to pay.
  • Promotion: These days, marketers have many channels through which to promote their products. From radio ads to social media banners, you’ll need to decide which are right for your brand.
  • Place: Your customers need to be able to find and purchase your product. Can they buy your product online? Do they need to visit a store? Additionally, you’ll need to consider how much inventory to hold and where to keep it. These days, inbound marketing strategies rely on engaging content to bring customers to you (or your website).

TRADITIONAL MARKETING V/S DIGITAL MARKETING

The main difference between digital and traditional marketing is the medium through which an audience encounters a marketing message. While traditional marketing uses traditional media like magazines and newspapers, digital marketing uses digital media, such as social media or websites.

Traditional marketing still plays an important role in people’s lives with the ever-growing need to step out of the digital world. Television advertisements have a reach of 800 million to 1 billion audiences at a low cost. More than half of people still use radio and its reach is approximately 65% and newspapers have 465 million reaches. So for some low-cost consumer products traditional marketing is the best solution.

Digital marketing helps businesses to grow online and offline. Here we can target our audience or only the selected category of people will see the ads. Because of this feature, we will get more productive results.

DIRECT RESPONSE MARKETING

“Direct response is a type of marketing designed to elicit an instant response by encouraging prospects to take a specific action.”

In direct response, we will get to know the most accurate result and response. And in this kind of marketing, we can track the result and work on it properly.

INTEGRATED DIGITAL MARKETING

Integrated digital marketing is, as it sounds, the integration of multiple marketing strategies to form a cohesive online approach for your business. Here’s what it typically entails:

  • web development and design
  • search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM)
  • content marketing
  • social media marketing
  • local listings management
  • paid advertising (or pay-per-click advertising) campaigns

CATT MARKETING FUNNEL

CATT marketing funnel is the best way to succeed in your niche and increase your wealth.

Wealth= n^CATT

Here ’n’ denotes niche. The finding is your niche is the first step to success. And then try to be the leader in your niche category. If it’s not possible then try to be the leader in the sub-category.

When you chose your niche properly and apply CATT it will give you wealth. Your success and wealth depend on the niche you choose.

So what is CATT?

Here, ‘C’ stands for Content. You have to focus on your content because this is the best way to engage people. Your contents should be accurate, clear, and should be understandable.

‘A’ stands for Attention. You are creating content and it should be in a form that people get attracted to. So only we can increase our traffic. We can use SEO, Social media paid ads, and referrals to increase traffic.

‘T’ stands for Trust. In marketing, trust is possible only when we genuinely connect with people and work for them to achieve their goals. And it’s not an easy thing. Here in marketing, we call trust as “Mass Trust.” Because we are not trying to connect with a single person. We are interacting with thousands and millions. And we are earning the trust of thousands and a million people.

‘T’ stands for Transaction. This is the process of converting leads into a customer with a natural sales method.

PERSONAL BRANDING

Even you are running a business successfully you have to build your personal brand. People will identify your business in your name. And people would have more trust when it comes to personal brands. Because there you will share your story and your experiences. In personal branding, you will be promoting yourself.

The downside of a personal brand is that it cannot be sold and people can’t invest in a personal brand.

The upside is that a personal brand can rise as many brands or business from his/ her influence. And they can become the influencer or brand ambassador of their own brand.

Marketing is the root of all businesses. Without proper marketing, a business cannot run. When it comes to digital or traditional marketing, both are equally important. There are many customers who still go behind traditional mediums. But it’s a truth that the world is going digital and the opportunities and scope of digital marketing are broad and never-ending.
